Britney Update!

January 20, 2004: New Video!  Rejoice!

Britney Spears' latest music video was released last week.  It's for the rather execrable song Toxic, and appears to be linked to the equally execrable movie Torque.  Fortunately, Britney is not renowned for her music, but, rather, for her appearance, and this video is no exception.

In lieu of pictures,* let us describe the video for you:

The video's motif is a superheroine, spy-girl kind of thing, wherein Britney performs stunts and fulfills her mission by sucking lots of faces.  First, she is a sexy airline stewardess.  Next, she is a red-haired vixen on a motorcycle (with male model Tyrese).  Finally, she dons the garb of an assassin and locks lips with some other actor.  There are special effect a'plenty, including a few rather bad ones involving that motorcycle sequence.

However, the highlight of the video is a series of scenes interspersed with those described above.  These scenes feature Britney in a sparking, shimmering bodysuit (much like the one donned in her now-legendary 2001 MTV VMA performance), but this suit is superior, for she is not wearing a bra.

Overall, this video is colorful and quick, good for those with short attention spans or unhealthy fixations with Ms. Spears.
